iPhone Game Reviews

Here are some iPhone Games that I feel are worth the download...

7 Cities

A good tower defense game, this is one is set in the water. You must create towers to keep the evil ships from entering you city. Upgrades and a twist on this game I have not seen very often, the towers actually level up themselves.

Battle Zone

This tower defense game utilizes 10 types of towers with a unique upgrade system in the form of medals. You will need to use good strategy with respect to placing these medals and they can be pulled from one tower and placed on another. With the abilities such as stun, teleport, steal money, steal life, heavier damage, faster speed, wider range, critical hits, and more exp points this game is worth the $0.99.

Bloons Tower Defense

This game pits monkeys against balloons...I do no know why, but well it is rather addictive. If you like tower defense games with multiple upgrades you will enjoy this one....promise.

Command and Conquer - Red Alert

EA made Command and Conquer - Red Alert for the iPhone 'nuff said....well maybe not....one more thing...$0.99 !!!! Ok that is all I need to say....see ya in iTunes comrade!

Cooking Dash

This is a cute time management game. Here you are the manager of a restaurant and you seat the customers, fulfill their orders by preparing the food, delivering it, receiving payment, and cleaning up afterwards.

Dark Fighter

This RTS blends the usual resource balancing and defend your base whilst taking out your opponent. With good graphics, simple yet elegant gameplay, multi-player support and a FREE price tag this is worth a look.

Galaxy On Fireā„¢ 3D

This is a very cool 3d space game that reminds me very much of the Wing Commander style of game. The controls are a bit tough to get used to, but the game play and 3 dimensional world is very well done.

Graal Online Classic

Free to play - Welcome to a classic MMORPG which reminds me of a multiplayer orginal 2D Zelda type world. The music and sound effects are old school and you have a 4 arrow system when it comes to movement. The tutorial is helpful as well.

Harbor Master

A very well put together transportation game. In this you control a slew of ships that need to dock in the harbor, transfer their cargo and then leave the harbor, all without crashing into any other ship. Good concept and an excellent execution of said concept.

Heroes Lore III

This classic RPG is a hit. Electronic Arts once again delivers the goods, with a plethora of weapons/armor and items, a classic game play, neverending monsters to slay and a multi-player battle option, it is very addictive add that will a $1.99 price point, can you say MUST BUY?

Infinity Blade

An amazing RPG that has Unreal graphics a unique story line and console-level game play. The game is simply amazing, but darn well should be being priced at $5.99.

Let's Golf 2

GameLoft is back with a sequal to the Let's Golf franchise and once again they do not disappoint. More courses, more players, more customization, great grapphics and gameplay, worth a couple bucks.

Palm Hereos

This is very much like the old Heroes of Might and Magic. They have captured the sounds and many of the pics of the old classic. It can be a bit clunky to move around the game and the controls may not be the most intuitive, but I have found myself spending quite a bit time on this one.

PaperBoy: Special Delivery

Totally Old School here...but I love it. You are the paper boy, now deliver those papers and do not piss off your customers...or else..good representation of an old classic! Watch out for that lawnmower!

Phantasy Star II

This game is a good copy of the original Phantasy Star II. Remember it is classic gaming or old school as someone might say.

Ranch Rush

This is a real time order filling game. It is your responsibility to save the ranch from being bought out. Your job is to fill the orders as fast as possible to raise enough money to save the ranch. With achievements and a silky smooth interface Fresh Games have a hit.

Relix

FREE TO PLAY - This game is very much like the Brix game developed by Michael Riedel for Epic MegaGames in 1991. This is a classic puzzle game and is worth IMHO at least $0.99 a download. I enjoy the sound effects and the music. Kudos to Mark Mengelt and OverSpark as they have created a fine game here.

Sword of Fargoal

This game brings out the reason why I started this website in the first place. The orginal game Sword of Fargoal came out in 1982 for the Commodore 64 and has been remade into this iPhone hit. The game play is very unique and smooth for a classic dungeon crawler. At $2.99 and the promise of a sequel it is worth the price.

Tunnel Shoot Pro

This is a cross between the old tempest game and F-Zero X, both good games in their own right. This one is married with good sounds, music and controls a very addictive combination. Just make sure that you hang on to your iPhone!

Warfare Incorporated

This reminds me of Starcraft, Red Alert, and Total Annihilation. It is an excellent real time strategy game with building, upgrades, units. Everything that you would want in a RTS.
